Hayley started the launch of the Hyperion Gold Coast International Sevens tournament at Northcliffe beach yesterday with the kick off. Although unable to play the game due to shoulder injury she watched the celebrity sevens game with media, former wallabies, touch footballers and Surf Life saving stars hitting it out.

The 2010 Tastes of Gold Coast festival kicked off on the right side of bed with a unique, invite-only launch event at Jupiters Hotel & Casino. Hayley joined other VIP Guests as they dined on dawn delicacies from under the doona with Breakfast in Bed at the Pavilion Marquee at Jupiters Casino! It was the Gold Coast’s most impressive pyjama party complete with Eggs Benedict, bubbles and live entertainment.

What a disappointing end to the season with the Australian Championships being cancelled and now it’s been hard to get some decent training in with a neck and shoulder injury which has been giving me trouble since April. At this stage I have ruled the Coolangatta Gold out unless I get a full recovery in the next couple of weeks. I know the Gold is still 4 months away but I still can’t swim without a snorkel or paddle a ski. It would kill me to watch everyone do the Gold, so fingers crossed I make a full recovery!

Last night Hayley attended the opening of the Jupiter’s Hotel and Casino’s’ show premiere of ‘Burn the Floor’. This edge of your seat Ballroom based dance show choreographed by Jason Gilkinson was fantastic with the combination of the live musicians and singers.
